Héctor "Tito" Matos
Tito is one of the best requinto players of his generation and he is the director and lead singer of Viento de Agua. Ha has played in many recordings including 7 Grammy nominated productions. Tito has taken the Puerto Rican Bomba and Plena to four continents and to important stages such as Lincoln Center, Kennedy Center and Carnegie Hall.
Ricardo Pons
Ricardo is the co-founder and musical director of Viento de Agua. He plays alto sax, flute and clarinet in addition to been a composer and main arranger for the band. He is also a professor at the Interamerican University and colaborates with other musical projects such as Puerto Sax and Jerry Medina y La Banda, among other ensembles.
Kianí Medina
One of the most recognized and sought after voices in Puerto Rico. She has been a member of Viento de Agua since 2009 and she has also colaborated with Jerry Medina & La Banda and Cultura Profética, among other ensembles.
Noel Rosado
Noel is an excellent percussionist and singer. He has been with Viento de Agua since 2004 and has also collaborated with well known ensembles like Los Majaderos de Cachete Maldonado, Truco y Zaperoco, Tito Nieves, and Batacumbele, among other groups.
Llonsi Martínez
Llonsi is one of the most relevant composers of this generation and plays minor percussion with Viento de Agua since 2004. He is the director of Los Sapos del Caño, and has colaborated with Golpe de Plena, Los Pleneros del Pueblo, and Plenativa.
Joksan Ramos
Joko is a percussionist and actor with an MFA from The New School of NYC. In addition to been a member of Viento de Agua since 2002, he has performed with Terraplén, Los Pleneros de la 23 Abajo, and De Compadres.
Willie Cubero
Willie plays pandereta seguidor and barril buleador with Viento de Agua since 2004. He has also played with Los Sapos del Caño, Golpe de Plena, and Los Pleneros del Pueblo.
Javier Rodríguez Curet
Curet plays bass and is an arranger and composer for Viento de Agua since 2004. In addition to playingthe violin, and percussion, Curet is the co-director and arranger for La PVC. He is also a professor at both the Interamerican University and The Conservatory of Music of PR.
Luis Amed Irizarry
Amed is pianist and arranger with Viento de Agua since 2004. In addition to playing the Oboe, Amed is also the director of La PVC and performs with Amplitude and the Philarmonic Orchestra of PR. He is the musical director of the latest three editions of Popular Bank of P.R.’s TV Special.
Efraín Martínez
Efra is one of the best drummers in P.R. He has recorded and performed with a variety of bands, from Rock to Jazz, and from traditional to experimental. He has been Viento de Agua’s drummer since 2004 but also works with La PVC, Mima and Lado Vé, among other bands.
Roberto Calderón
Roberto plays baritone, soprano and flute. He has been a member of Viento de Agua since 2004. Moreover, he plays with important musical projects such as Andy Montañez Orchestra and Puerto Sax, among other bands.
Eliud Cintrón
Eliud is one of the best trombone players in PR and is a member of Viento de Agua since 2004. He has also played with Bobby Valentín and El Gran Combo, among other important bands.
